Reader, writer, petiana and undergraduate student of the Letters course at UFGD. There are several titles that try to define and characterize it. M. S. Pedroso was the guest of the Literary Afternoon held on November 18, 2021 by PET Letras. The event took place remotely, synchronously, in a virtual space and open to the public. The meeting was mediated by the petiana Rayane Paula Martins Coinca. The opportunity brought the possibility of getting to know one of the facets of Margarida, that of a writer, but which is not dissociated from the others.
When she rescues her story as a reader and writer, Margarida (as she is publicly recognized) revisits the short story book “Stories to learn to dream” Oscar Wilde, and even more specifically the tale she liked the most - “The Infanta's Birthday”, because it was what awakened her to the literary world. She acquired a taste for reading from an early age, from her mother's habit of reading books to her.
As a teenager, I always had a book handy. Her love for reading and her constant presence in the school's library enact and color the paintings of her memories, which add to and blend in with the stories she read and lived in that space.
The writer MS Pedroso participated in several projects and actions as an academic, contributing to PIBID (2019-2019) and now working in the PET Letras group since 2020. As a scientific initiation researcher, she entered linguistics studies and later began to dedicate herself more to the area of literature, as he considers this his great passion.
The novelty is her recently released book Meu Coração na Folhas, which brings and materializes an incredible sensibility, mixing real and imagined tales that Margarida defines as “fragments of herself and her trajectory”.
Asked about her greatest difficulty in the literary production processes, the author considers that the moment to finalize a text and give the final direction is, for her, one of the most difficult and complicated moments to do, and asks: how to give a point Final? Furthermore, it considers that the creative process goes through constant writing and rewriting.
She says that sometimes some insights arise from catchphrases, such as the one that starts her text "Post Mortem" - "They say that the dead can't tell stories", which help her to start her texts and also ideas for its development. His literary taste has a wide repertoire, he has read and read from Mia Couto to the writings of Agatha Christie. Ah! The author loves detective novels.
She reiterates that writing and the creative process starts from the moment of taking ideas out of your head and putting them on paper, to the inspirations for writing in a structural way, with a view to producing coherent and cohesive texts, also passing through a more poetic and metaphorical production. , resource, which according to the author, is one of the forms of expression. From the texts, it creates several possibilities for interpretations that the reader can identify according to their experiences.

The hot and sunny afternoon was sweet and warm, allowing us to enter the literary intimacy of our colleague, walking along with her the paths that brought her here. Among thoughts, analyzes and self-analysis, the author expresses that all her texts represent, to a greater or lesser degree, her experiences and experiences; fears and anxieties; loves and pains... The author advises in the introduction of her recently published book:

“It is also worth noting that a writer's eyes and ears can distort reality at will. A conversation on a bus can become a short story, a mini-tale, a poem, and a whole host of possibilities. The universe is the author's raw material.” (PEDROSO, 2021, p. 05)
The immense pleasure of being able to honor the speech of M.S Pedroso is combined with the possibilities of following his personal, professional and academic trajectory. PET Letras would like to thank you for this literary afternoon and say that we are completely proud of Petiana Margarida, who with her talent and dedication touches souls and hearts.
